Left thames and took off up the coast of the Coromandel Peninsual along the windy coastal path, nearly getting cleaned by a few logging trucks on some of the single lane sections. Called off at a waiau waterworks, a park with water powered amusements, nedless to say Jo got a bit wet.
Across 309 road we headed toward the coast and hot water beach. Got ourselves a spade and dug a hole in the sand letting it fill with hot water which bubbled up from under the beach. Made ourselves a our own wee hot tub and took it easy while the sad flies fed on my legs.
Further along the coast we took a walk round to Cathedral Cove, giant limestone cliffs with caves and waterfall, all very scenic.
Got lost that evening through Tauranga before finding a wee spot to park up for the night.
