Hello from a sunny Zugdidi :) we have become a little slack with our blog now that we are back to work! Our first week at school went well, we unfortunately had to work on Saturday to make up for the snow days we had off and also have to work this Saturday too so we really haven't been able to do much! After school we usually just have a wander in the town, tutor our host family or just relax...(mainly just relax!)
We went to our host sister's friends house where she made us pizza and we watched Forrest Gump! Her Dad introduced himself before the film and made us (more so Joe) drink some of his homemade wine. He was quite a character and we had a really nice evening.
Joe also has been to get a haircut which went better than expected so he's happy with that. I think we got ripped off being English but it only cost about £4.
Hopefully next weekend will be the first we have off so we will be going to Kutaisi to meet some other TLG volunteers and do some sightseeing.
Joe has experienced Turkish coffee and is now in love with it and very alert most of the time! I have been eating these bread/cheese/meat/pepper pizza things from a street vendor (see the photo!) most days which are amazing and only 50p.
Hopefully we will have some more photos the next time we blog, as the weather gets warmer we will be travelling Georgia most weekends so until then, nakhvamdis for now!
