Got up relatively early this morning. Had our free breakfast in the hostel which was just weetabix. No big fat fry up which is a let down. Sammie and I have to rush to check out and catch a bus to the theme park. We just about catch it in time. The theme park is about 30 minutes away. There are 4 theme parks pretty much side by side. The one we go to is called 'Dreamworld'. I wasn't overly fussed about going to a theme park but I'm glad I did. It was a lot of fun. The weather is good too. One crazy ride called the 'Big Drop' is the craziest. It takes you up a pole ridiculously high. Possibly 250-300ft. Holds you up the top for what seems like an eternity before suddenly dropping down. The view from up there was great. We go on twice. The 2nd time I can't resist taking a huge risk, but glad I did. I manage to film it on my iPhone. I've never gripped a phone so hard in my life! My favourite bit was meeting kangaroos for the first time in oz. They are so friendly. There are also crocodiles which we watch getting fed, tigers we watch do a little show, lizards and a few other zoo animals. Kinda defeats the object of going to the zoo tomorrow, but tomorrow's zoo is Steve Irwin's, and it's going to rock more than any other zoo. A number of the rides are pretty mental. My stomach starts feeling pretty dodgy towards the end of the day. As we were in such a rush this morning we didn't have time to get grub from a supermarket so have to pay a fair dinkum for some scram. As its on a Sunday the place is filled with kids too. They just run everywhere and scream the whole time. They must be absolutely knackered by the end of the day. I have never seen a child walk, or talk in a quiet tone at a theme park. It rains a little bit at the end of the day but it's quite nice as it cools us down. We're hot, as we have been running and screaming all day. We have a bus booked to Brisbane later so head back in time to catch that. I book us in at the same hostel I stayed my first 3 nights at. 'Banana Bender'. By the time we arrive there it's nearly 10pm. Which is what time Newcastle v Sunderland kicks off. I get some Internet to listen to the game but it's not working on the app. I think it only works for non category A games. So I keep up to date on twitter. It sounds mental. 5 bookings after 20 minutes including a yellow just 40 seconds into the game. Unfortunately I lose Internet signal in the bedroom at half time with Sunderland 1-0 up. I'm so tired that I can't even be bothered to get up and brush my teeth or take my shorts off. I fall asleep praying for a second half revival.
