Im writing this the next day but this day was probably the most enjoyable since I been out here. I spent pretty much the whole day on the beach with a guy from Germany called Tom. Before we went to the beach we went up a skyscraper to a place called skyview. Overlooking all of Surfers Paradise. It was brilliant. Looking right up and down the beach as far as the eye can see. We learn the beach is 70km long!! It's staggering. Being on the beach all day is amazing. We take a soft football from the hostel and play with that. Swimming in the sea then looking back at all the skyscrapers along the coastline looks amazing. Hannah has painted my left toe nails so I get some good photos of my silly looking toes in various places. Might make a separate album on Facebook called 'Toes on tour'. We get these drinks from a place called 'Boost Juice Bar'. It's the nicest drink I've ever had. Crammed with fresh fruit. I'll try have 1 a day over here to count as my healthy fruit intake. So delicious. I put sun cream on 3 times on the beach but I still burn badly. Come late afternoon we move down the beach to a section that has a massive skyscraper shadow on it so I can shade. Tom is used to the sun as he has been travelling over here for 7 months. It also turns out Tom is going to Byron Bay tomorrow too, so we decide to travel together and he books the same bus I am on. I also speak to Sammie on the phone who is in Brisbane and wants me to travel up the Sunshine Coast with her along the Great Barrier Reef. After a discussion she agrees to meet me in Byron Bay tomorrow where we will stay for a few days before heading north of Brisbane. Sydney will have to wait for now. Whilst we are walking through town at today we spot the infamous 'Meter Maids'. They are incredibly hot chicks that go around putting money in parking meters so that people don't get parking fines. They sell calendars and you donate some money to them to have your photo taken with them. They are very popular in Surfers Paradise. We donate some money and have our photos taken with them. On the way back from the beach we stop off at that burger shack, where I have myself a crocodile burger. It's probably the most delicious burger I've ever eaten. Gorgeous it was. Back at the hostel I make myself some cheap noodles for dinner then things start getting crazy. 8 lesbians, 4 Swedish girls, 2 Aussie girls, me and Tom play spin the bottle. It was quite funny but it doesn't take me and Tom long to drop out and decide to just watch. It was highly entertaining. So my day consisted of drinking the nicest drink I've ever drank, eating the nicest burger I've ever eaten, viewing the the entire Surfers Paradise region 76 floors up, swimming in the warm sea, playing football on the beach and watching women copping off with each other. It was a good day!
