So, I've been out in Sydney for just over a month now and I feel as though I've not stopped since I've been here. I am now working for a company called The Consortium - a promotions company and have been working on an LG campaign. It's contracted 4 weeks for now but it's always bisy so there's probably more work and hopefully will last for a while so I can save more for the East Coast trip when Sarah gets out here. Am working with Phil and Lisa, it's such a good laugh and we have a doughnut man that comes every Thursdays. 30 mini doughnuts in with hundreds and thousands, sooo yum yet sickling!
I've been out quite a lot, the usual Side Bar and Scubar tends to be places for the backpackers, but they play good music and you can meet so many people so it's all good. I'd like to venture to other places but am sure will have plenty of time to do that. It was Easter weekend last week so lots of partying and Scubar had a bunny night which was really good fun. Took housemate Kat too and she loved it. Met Paula there too so had a good catch up about home gossip hehe. Maja from work finished last week so she came out too, which was nice. She's leaving for the East Coast, so jealous...but am sure my time will come soon. Last weekend, I also met a few more people from the 'buddy list' - Tom, Adam and Phil, they had already met up woth Phil so we went to The Railway hostel where they were staying to drink goon before going out. Goon is wine but made from fish eggs and other bizarre ingredients, 4litre box for $10 can't really go wrong.
We went to the Royal Easter festival yesterday at Olympic Park, we had such a fun day out. Emma (roomie) Rachel (friend from buddy list) Wing (housemate) and Wing's friend Jane and I went there early afternoon, it was a really nice day and it was nice to be acting like a tourist, ie act silly. It's a nice experience, it's like a big fun day out for children with lots of activities and therre was a section where you can visit farm animals. It was very tiring towards the end of the day though, but we took some really funny pictures.
