Well, I was only actually in Invercargill for about an hour.... but it was fun to see where the 'Worlds Fastest Indian' came from!!!
We left Curio bay and headed round the bottom of the south island... we stopped off at a Paua Shell Factory (Riverton) and all made some jewelery!! I made some lovely earrings.
Then we stopped off at a Farm and Roxanne, Elke and myself all had a go at shearing a sheep!! It was a great experience - we watched how the dogs round up the sheep, then had a go at trying to sort the sheep into two groups - it was like we were working on a farm (well, not really, but in true usual NZ style we got to dress up!!! yellow coats and wellies and trousers!)... we got to feed the cutest calk and lamb too.
Then it was off back up to Te Anau and then Queenstown - everyone else got off the bus in Te Anua, but as Rox and myself had already been to Milford Sound (which was the next days activity) we decided to accompany Earl (the driver) back to Queenstown... well, the World Bar was calling us!! ;)
We had a great night out and saw BaaBaa too - he had been our first Kiwi Driver!
