Hi folks
Lots to update you with this time. We have had a bit of a set back, well actually a damn great big one really. Some kind sole stole our bikes in Barcelona on our last day there, we had just had a really good meal out, been to see some flamenco and when we got back to the hotel they had gone. We spent the next 2 hours in the Police station and the following day wondering what to do next. Do we get a taxi to the airport? or Do we buy new bikes and carry on? or Do we train it to Cyprus? Guess what we've still got sore bums so you can guess we bought new bikes and are carrying on. I have got a real sore bum at the moment so mad or what? (Penny your muscle rub has also come in very handy for the tired legs too)
We or I really enjoyed Barcelona although the visit was marred the architecture was stunning and it is a real lively place both day and night. We also went to the Dali Museum in Figueres as we passed through, tripps is really impressed with his imagination but truly believes that he was as mad as a box of frogs.
Anyway we did a total of 473 miles cycling in Spain and crossed the border yesterday. What an experience getting through two heaving border towns. Talk about booze cruises the French all go here to get cheap booze and cigarettes half the price of French shops. The cost of things in France is frightening and with having to replace the bikes our budget's already stretched. Nevermind we'll see how it goes and how far we can get.
The roads in France are busy and not quite as good for cycling as in Spain and we have had to stay on main roads so far, but we are finding more campsites in France. Tripps has just been thrown out of the swimming pool on this site today for wearing shorts and not his speedos although I threw those out years ago.
Thanks again for all the messages
