Hi folks

Sorry Becks can't seem to download photos again Our new bikes are bog standard but I did photograph some like you are thinking about all covered in in Barcelona. Hair looking a bit of a mess but not a dreadlock in sight.

We have scarpered through France and we're sorry to those of you who know and love France but we can't seem to grow to like it. We covered 273 miles on our new bikes and we hopped on a train from Marseille to Nice to catch up for the lost time we had to spend in Barcelona. Although it might have been quicker to bike coz there had been an accident on the line and we were held up for 4 hours.

We spent the day in Monaco which we really enjoyed and saw the changing of the guard at the palace and then did several laps of Monte Carlo - not quite rally style but just trying to find the right road out of the place avoiding road closures due to a gas fire.

Anyway we are now in Italy and loving the coastal route it is beautiful cycling around the harbours and coves and along the beachfront, taking a dip in the sea on occasions. It does take the mind off the sore bums and aching muscles. We are both getting a lot fitter and toning up nicely. The people are really friendly and we are finding more campsites now. We are also very wary of cities after our experiences in Barcelona.

Anyway will close off now as we are in a city and need to get out on to the road again before the midday sun beats us into submission.
