Today Charlotte and I spent the day in Stockholm and had a wonderful day. We took the train from Uppsala and arrived in Stockholm about 11am. Our first stop was the Klara Kyrka - a church that was built in the 1500's. I've put a couple photos online of the church.
We walked through Gamla Stan or the old town of Stockholm. There are very few cars and we walked down both residential and commercial streets. We walked through the central square where at Christmas there is a large market. I took photos of both.
We also walked around the outside of the Royal Palace and found the place where you can take a sight seeng boat ride. The boat ride was great and allowed us to see lots of Stockholm.
Our last stop was the Vasa Museum which houses the Vasa warship which sank on its maiden voyage back ing 1628. It took them 333 years to get it from the bottom of the sea.
We caught a bus from the museum to the central station and rode the train back to Uppsala.
