Seattle, Washington Nov 23, 2007 I've been thinking I should post a last message from Seattle. I've been home for over a month now and this travel blog is helping to keep my memories fresh. I've even added it to my Facebook.
London, UK Oct 19, 2007 On my final day, Laura, Tommy and I went to the British Library. We went to treasures room that houses the Magna Carta, some Beatles lyrics, part of the score for Beethoven's 9th Symphony, and several other important historical and religious documents. The building is beautiful and I was interested to see several places where people could hook into the library's Wi-Fi network with their laptops. London, UK Oct 15, 2007 Today's excursion was to the Tower of London. We took the Tube and spent about 2 hours looking around. One of the highlights was the crown jewels. Laura and I are going to see the musical ...
London, UK Oct 14, 2007 Today was a travel day back to London. I caught a bus from Uppsala to Arlanda and had a 2 hour and 10 minute return flight to Heathrow. The flight from Arlanda (Stockholm) left early which I found amazing. I took the Tube from Heathrow back to Laura and Eli's place and was able to navigate the 5 blocks between the Tube and their flat without getting lost or hit by a car. I have two more days in London before leaving on Wednesday. My time here is getting quite...
Uppsala, Sweden Oct 13, 2007 Today we took the bus to Gamla Uppsala and walked around the burial mounds and the church. There was a small museum with some of the artifacts found in a couple of the burial mounds. When we got back to Uppsala, we walking along the Fyris River to the place where Charlotte ice skates in the winter. Much to her delight, they were starting to build and groom the ice. She's going to sharpen her skates in preparation for skating in the near future.
