Liz & Jim in Japan
Thursday, Feb. 4, 2009
Today Liz and I went to Ueno Park, which houses many of their national museums and a few shrines. The best was a small museum that showed how they lived about 100 years ago. Most families lived in 1 room shacks no bigger than a tent. Then we went shopping in a market for food. Quite an experience. Out of about a dozen different cartons of milk we chose a blue one. No idea what's inside it yet. Liz wanted to buy Cup of Soup, but had no idea what was inside it. Beef or chicken would be good, squid or seaweed bad. But it is fun and interesting. I'm having trouble adjusting still. Tired at 6PM, wide awake at 3AM. I hope I adjust soon.
