A place up north that we all like to camp, but can never seem to find no matter what. The summer of 2010 a park host from Muskegon camp ground pointed us in the direction of a place called white river, where there was free rustic camping. We were about 2 hours away from this place to start with, and it took us over 14 hours to find the place. This year we were confident we knew how to get there, and planned to be there by 2pm, we didnt make it there until around 6:30 pm. We dont have the best luck with this area, but once you make it there, its worth it. Beautiful backwoods, two track road that goes back endless miles... with rustic cleared patches of land along the river. Its about 15 miles from the cloest town of Montague, but when your by the river you feel hundreds of miles away. Quiet, relaxing, and feeling deep in nature.
