Another week passes and it was quite a full one for me. Kept myself busy raking a million km2 lawn. Also got a dog to look after for the next couple of weeks. Little Dixie. Nice dog but she went missing on the first night. Found her again by the morning but had a mini panic attack. Her owner is a bit of a d*** so wouldn't want to give her an excuse to moan! Her name is cait wait, which certain people back home would find amusing:).
Had a visitor in the shape of a huge carpet python the other night. It climbed through the window while I was reading. At least 2m long! It got a bit close so I stood up and told him that I was here first, which did the trick. You know you need company when you Start talking to snakes!!
The beer can regata was quite good, although these 'boats' were actually 'boats', covered in beer cans, rather than solely made from them. Bit of a let down but there were some good designs. There was one in the shape of a crocodile which was pretty sweet. Got one of our friends to take a picture of me there as a suvenere, suvineer, suvanere???..... Thing to remember it by.
Finally making progress with the roof, all sheets on and only a few screws to go. It's been a pain of a job as we had to move the tin from the top and attatch it to the underside. Me and Gerry the german had to make a rig to haul them up. Proper bush engineering, we wouldn't win any health and safety awards with that one!
Attended a 60th birthday party up the road which was nice. A few beers and BBQ with some nice company. A good end to a very busy day. To finish this week off my beautiful fiancé is returning from the desert! Woohoo! She sounds like she's had a wonderful, yet, a wee bit stressful time. You'll have to read her emails to find out why because we all know I'm a bit consise with my writing. I wouldn't do it justice. And I can't be arsed.
