Today is my last day in Auckland, so thought it was only right that I put something on here. I'm heading off on my travels again tomorrow, so not entirely sure when I will get the chance to get on the internet again.
Well Friday was my last day at work and after 3 and half months there, I have this strange feeling, like I'm going on holiday and coming back here to Auckland. I've been working with a really nice bunch of people and I'm definitely going to miss working with them. I was given some really nice leaving presents including an All Blacks Shirt, which I don't think my dad would ever let me wear in public without disowning me, but I may just have to try my luck. Everyone also signed a NZ flag which I now have as nice momento.
I've spent most of today trying to pack my stuff up and I'm going to have to make a stop at the post office tomorrow to send some things home that just wouldn't fit in the bag (I tried, trust me). I did manage to catch the Christmas parade this afternoon in the city, it was really strange seeing this in 24 degree heat and people eating ice-creams! I've said this to annoy all of you at home, just because I know it's snowing where you are.
I'm heading to Wellington tomorrow, and then will be in the South Island for 2 weeks before I head over to meet Mum and Dad in Fiji on 19th December. I can't believe how quickly the last 9 months has gone and particularly these last 5 months in New Zealand.
I'll try and get to this blog again before Christmas but if I don't, I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and can't wait to see all of you again for some serious catching up in 2011.
Merry Christmas from me, here in the sun down under. Hope Santa brings lots of nice surprises to you all.
