The cooking class was ahhhmazing. The food was good quality and so fresh. Our instructor Sim picked us up in a ute with seats in the side and an awning as a roof at 8.30. We picked up to other people Nadia from Sth Africa who is a chef on a private yacht, and Keith from Esseks who quit his job to write a book about his travels. He promises that we'll be in it.
We went straight to a dingy market that smelt like pork, and Sim showed us all the different fruit and veg that is from Thailand. Thanks to all the cooking shows I watch, I was the star pupil lol. Finally got to use galangal in a sentence.
We got to make 6 dishes each of our own choosing, which was great coz we all ended up sharing. Even with Nadia and Keith.

We couldn't finish what we ate, which is a shame coz I could go for some now!!
I'm hoping that we can do another cooking class in Phuket.

Today we had a tour of Chiang Mai. Got to see a temple, don't think I want to see another one. Seen one you've seen them all, and they're everywhere here. It's 80% Buddhists here, 20% everything else.
Then we had a Thai full body massage. Not as hard as I like, more like just pummeling me. But it was only 200baht which is $6.40 so I'm not complaining.

We're off to the meeting soon. And going witnessing tomorrow. Should be interesting.
