Omg I'm staying here! Nice is beautiful! I was tired and in a weird mood last night so I didn't update you. Not much happened yesterday. I didn't move fast enough to go to the islands yesterday so went back to the hostel to chill before I left for my train to Nice.

It was the slowest fast train I'd been on lol I got off the train and was greeted by the usual site of the roughest area around, why r stations so rough. It wasn't long before I reached the high street with tram lines, shops, cafe's, fountains, parks and the sea! The crystal blue amazing sea!

My hostel is just near all of it, it is really nice I'm sharing with 4 girls, the room had its own bathroom and kitchen. We all have a lockable wardrobe each and keys to all of the doors so we can come and go anytime. The only downside is no common room to socialise. But the girls I'm with r great.

There was a crazy American lady called Roberta who lives in Italy and had run away to escape the earthquakes lol but she left this morning. A girl called Sydney from America who is travelling for a month before going to Barcelona to study. And then a girl called Caitlin arrived at the hostel at 2am after a nightmare journey that I think would have reduced me to tears. I only met her this morning.

I decided yesterday that I was using my time in nice as a proper holiday, my legs were hurting and I'd had my backpack on for 5 days. So it is a real chance to put it down and relax for a few days. I layed in bed and finished my book last night and fully relaxed.

This morning I got up as Roberta was leaving and Caitlin was talking about getting some breakfast, I jumped at the chance to go with her. We had a great breakfast and most of the people here speak English so it's been really easy. Then we went to a market to get some fruit and veg for dinner, she going to cook for me :) because I paid for breakfast cos she had no change. I got a massive chunk of watermelon, it's in the fridge waiting for me, I can't wait to eat it later...mmmmm!

I hit my first problem with trains last night. I was looking at my journey in to Italy for Friday and the websites were just not letting me get anywhere. Me and Caitlin went to the station to see if I could get a train from here to Rome, Caitlin was sure I could cos she had just come from there but got the bus instead because it was cheaper. I'm so glad I met her because I probably wouldn't have gone to the station without her and would have gone a very long way round. So I've sorted the route, it's gonna be a whole day on a train but I don't mind, I love it. I just can't decide when to go! I'm sitting on the most beautiful beach, hanging out with other travellers and talking in English, I don't want to go yet! I've got tonight booked in the hostel but I'm going to see if I can stay 2morro night aswell and leave for Rome on Saturday. If not it will be 2morro but I will definitely be coming back to Nice!
