Oh dear, all feeling pretty hungover. Leaving for Pai today which is a small 'hippy' town further north. 10 of us in a small minivan. What they don't tell you is that the mountain road to Pai is infamous as it has 762 curves. Well you can imagine what happened and it was not pretty! Loads of people had their heads hanging out the window and we had to keep pulling over. We all bought t-shirts with Pai 762 curvers in as a reminder of that lovely day!

We all decided to rent scooters today, something I swore I would never do, but I seem to be doing alot of things I said I would never do. Had a test drive and had trouble turning the corners but they let me hire it anyway, got to love the health and safety here. 7 of us drove around Pai all day in convoy whcih was pretty funny. We visited hot springs, water falls, canyons and saw loads of the Pai country side which was really nice, people working in rice fields and small villages. But by far the best thing was riding the scooter, so much fun.

First thing I thought of when I woke us this morning, my scooter. Would happily just ride around all day. Visited another waterfall, still in search of the perfect one though. Said goodbye to the others who are leaving today. Was pretty sad, we have all had an amazing time together in the last week, hopefully we will see them along the way. Went out for dinner, ate a fish with a head on it, I really don't know whats got into me here, had Mojitos after though to make up for it.

Last day with the bikes, managed to get lost as we didn't have the boys with us. Finally gave my bike back, not happy, really loved my pink helmet. Got the bus to Chiang Kong which is the border town with Laos. Back up the 762 curves, bit more prepared this time. The driver was on the phone doing about 50mph on the small mountain rd in the dark. Got dumped at some wierd hotel at 3am where some woman chucked us in some gross room, all to tired to protest, going to ignore the spiders and the fact that you can't take the cover off the duvet to wash it.

Aunty Vivvy Just seen your pics on Facebook. Think the one with you and a crowd should be deleted. The one eyed trouser snake from Laos needs pixelling out !!! Sorry you had to give your scooter back, liked the helmet. I miss my scooter, it is very liberating. Good to park! The duvet cover sounds "minging". Take care. Love you loads.
