Left the islands for Siem Reap, Cambodia today. Got the boat to the mainland and then to the Cambodian border. The bus to Siem Reap was so busy, people had to sit in the aisles for hours. Some guy also tried to rip us off on the bus saying that if we stayed on the same bus we would end up in the middle of knowhere in the middle on the night if we didnt get the VIP bus! We all stuck together and everything was fine in the end. The worst thing about long bus journeys are the dives they stop at for you to eat at! I refuse to eat anything where there are chicken feet and unrecongnisable bits of meat so I always buy pringles and oreos, cant go wrong then. Arrived at Siem reap at midnight, there was a sign with my name on it as we had already booked ahead, was really good to see, the last thing you want to do is find somewhere in the middle of the night.

The guest house here is amazing, the girl who runs it can't do enough for us. Decided to have a day sorting stuff out today, got some photos on facebook (which takes forever) and burnt some to CD, booked some flights. Off to Angkor Wat tomorrow so we went to book a guide so we have a clue what we are looking at. The people are so friendly here compared to Laos. Siem reap is also alot prettier thatn I thought it would be. Went to the night market this evening, did a little shopping, had some cocktails, I like Cambodia already.

Eary start to see Angkor Wat. We had a guide and tuk tuk driver Mr Ling. Went ti the smaller temples first and built up to Angkor Wat. One of the smaller temples was really cool, it had loads of overgrown trees, they filmed tomb raider here. Angkor Wat was good, but I think I expected more, maybe I have been spoilt by the Taj mahal, was still impressive though. Didnt finish until it was dark, we are so templed out its unbelievable, if I dont see another one for a month I wont be upset. The annoying thing about Angkor Wat is that it has scaffolding around it, but its been there for 10 years, so that makes me feel better. All went out for food, beer is 25p a glass here! Ended up in search of Karaoke, but failed. Ended up in 2 brothels instead! Apparently Karaoke and prostitution go hand in hand here. We went into this one place and they take you into a private Karaoke room, we left pretty quickly, on they way out we saw all these young girls in a room waiting to be picked, minging, but funny.

Up at 4:30 for sunrise at Angkor Wat, guess what, cloudy again! Was still good to see the sihoulette of the temple. Back in bed by 7 though. Chilled out all afternoon, drinking tea ( which is not easy to find in asia!). Visited the night market in the evening again, and then had KFC, there is only so much rice I can handle. ROF again tonight!
