20th- 28th February In and Around Krabi After a gruelling day travelling involving a few rides in the back of a pick up truck, eventually made it to Krabi town. After a 12 hour Journey from Chiang Mai, a 12 hour stop over in Bangkok and a further 12 hours we eventually made it to the beautiful island Ko Samui, off the east coast. The 12 hour train ride from Bangkok to Chaing Mai was rather spacious and quite comfortable. The seats cleverly transformed into a top & bottom bunk with curtain, giving a little privacy from the neighbours sleeping 2 foot away. 4th- 8th February. Gosh! first thoughts of Bangkok is that it is a truly crazy city. On our hotel's doorstep we walked out to prostitutes, limbless beggars dragging themselves across the gutter, women with babies begging, parading elephants, eateries on the walkway with huge fryers and neatly set out table and chairs, many rats, vendors selling dried out or roasted bugs (cockroaches, scorpions, grass-hoppers).
