After a 12 hour Journey from Chiang Mai, a 12 hour stop over in Bangkok and a further 12 hours we eventually made it to the beautiful island Ko Samui, off the east coast. We stayed in Lamai, a beautiful rugged coast with golden sand. Had a few days relaxing by the pool and beach. Then decided to travel further round the island to Mea Nam, according to the guide book it is a back packers haven, we found more retired but friendly Germans. Stayed in a really nice beach hut.
