We got to our hostel at about 7am very bleary-eyed and were given a second breakfast at the hostel. We ventured into town by bus and wandered along Main Street, the only street worth going to in Nadi. Zoe wanted to see the Hindu temple so we headed there. They told us were welcome to stay to watch the wedding, which we did (second wedding I've ever been to!) and then halfway through the wedding, the bride's father invited us to stay for food. Too good an opportunity to miss, we joined the queue for food and had a mix of vegetable curries, chutneys, special fried rice and roti, which we ate with our fingers as everyone else did. It was really yummy though really quite spicy (Sana, I think even you would have to grant me that it was slightly spicy!!). A very surreal experience but awesome!
We had dinner at a Thai restaurant and then wandered back to the hostel (we forced ourselves to stay at the restaurant until 8pm because it felt too early to go back any earlier)! When we got back, we found that the hostel had made dinner for us - boiled veg, egg and 2 very dubious sausages. I think we were all passed out by about 9pm... very hardcore! I don't think anyone else in our dorm got in before 3am and the receptionist was still very drunk when we left at 5am to get our flight to Savusavu.
