hey dudes, i had to comment on the phrase "its probably the best snorkelling I've ever done", i laughed out loud coz it sounds like you've being doing it all your life. I know the truth!!! Malaysia sounds great, I'm really excited but its always hard leaving people behind and I think I will be sad leaving Oz. Its not been my favourite place but the people are awesome. Off to Byron tommorrow then on to Sydney for the wknd I think. When are you home, that must be weird?xxx
Sally
Jennifer, keep your gross termite stories to yourself!! Bleugh! Hope you have recovered from your ant invasion... I dropped mum and dad off at the airport on saturday morning, so I think we can assume they are living it up in the big apple! Hope you are well, loads of love, sallyxxxxx
Dad
Jenny, I am now moving out of e-mail and internet contact (New York then Macedonia) so this is the last time I'll be able to log in to your travel site until you're back home. Hope you have no more disasters. I'm sure the camera and so on will be covered by insurance, I'm still wondering how you managed to break all three! Be careful and I'll see you two weeks today. Love, Dad.
Alice
hey, glad your enjoying malaysia, I'm pleased you didn't stay in one place for 5 weeks like you intended. There's so much I want to see in 2 months I can't quite see how I'll fit it in. You must be on the countdown to home now? What is it, like 2 weeks away or something? Its taken me half my time to do Cairns-Brisbane and I've got the same to do Brisbane-Melbourne so its absolutely flying by. Can't say I'm in love with Oz but it is cool. Looking forward to going somewhere completely alien to home. And have already started planning my next trip to South America. if your interested at all then let me know xxx
Mum
Thanks for the e-mail and the postcard; I thought Malaysia might be a bit on the damp side - as is Blighty, very much so. A caller rang Radio 5 the other morning to ask the presenters to speak up a bit, as he couldn't hear the report on how dire the drought situation had become for the noise of the rain drumming on the windows. Our lawn is now about a foot high. Getting very excited about New York now, and a bit apprehensive - also no idea what to take, as don't know what the weather will be like. Kate & Sally will be with us for dinner tomorrow night to wish us happy hols. It's Tim's birthday today and Sarah's on Saturday; Damian & Victoria will be here for Tim's do on Saturday so I'm hoping to say a quick hello on Friday night. Look forward to hearing from you when you get to Thailand. Much love, Mum XXX
Jenny
I am indeed looking after myself, though chronic exhaustion from travelling has left us all a bit under the weather, especially as sunday, myself and Gemma could find nothing to eat but pringles!! Hope all's well in Blighty. x
Mum
Just to let you know we had a wonderful time in Edinburgh - despite the bucketing rain; Dad was so cold that he had to go and buy a jumper! Edinburgh now has a smoking ban in public places and that's made a fantastic difference. We went round the castle which was fascinating. Ben is now crawling, so out have come the stairgates and Sarah won't be getting a minute's peace. Apparently he is very pleased with himself. I hope you are looking after yourself. Lots of love, Mum
Nellie
Heya, it looks like it's almost over, so make the most of it, how's was Australia, i hope you waved when you passed somewhere around South Africa. Anyway, looks like your coming back soon, just call me when you've settled down into some sort of normal routine. Miss you lots, honey, enjoy......you need to give me a pic of the koala bear,it's my favourite animal in the whole world, your looking good in the pics, great tan, you eventually got it the natural way, (why do i have the feeling your going to edit this out of your message board. Im starting to babble i agree, so cheers love.
Nick
I know I've been pretty reticent as far as the whole message board thing goes but I know you're enjoying all your experiences and hope that you enjoy everything still to come even more. You will have plenty of time to get fed up of me in the time to come so suffice to say, I have a cold. I feel like a badger has made a nest in my throat and I think it's giving birth. But anyway, come back with loads of stories, a great tan and remember I love you loads still. xxxxx.
Jenny
I am off to Malaysia on saturday. We are going to KL first and then making our way up to some islands, with a view to returning to Bangkok on the 1st of June, as that is when Gemma is flying back home. Should be good fun, and definitely need to leave Last Beach as am becoming part of the furniture!!
Mum
You're not continually sober either. Don't bang your head on the roof of the cave - desperate memories of that holiday in France!! When are you off to Malaysia?
