Hola!
That´s me in Arequipa now, arrived this morning at 7.30am, was so tired, didn´t sleep well on the bus as my muscles were all sore from sandboarding yesterday! So was exhausted when I got here, but managed to wake up by the time I got to my hostel, it´s quite nice, basic but clean with anice garden and the breakfast was really good! Pancake with lots of fruit! The fruit here is so nice!
Spent most the morning tring to change my flights, so I´m now officially coming back into Britain on the 3rd December! So about 1 month left here! It took so long as I had to wait in line for ages to get through to the airline booking number, so that ate up a lot of my money, then I had to pay the fine for changing dates to a bank in Arequipa but the woman on the line didn´t know the address so I had to find the tourist information where it was! When I got there it was really busy so I took my ticket, everyone gets a number and you wait for your number to comeup on the screen, but I was about 50th in the queue so I sat down for a long wait. Fortunately the nice old man sitting next to me had been given an earlier ticket by someone who gave up waiting and so gave me his other one, so I was only 20th in the queue! People can be nice like that! It wasn´t over once I paid the money into the airline account houg, then I had to find a shop with a fax machine so Ic ould fax a copy of the voucher to the airline! I´m now waiting for them to e'mail me to say they received the fax!! So yeah aside that I just had lunch at a nice we restaurant off the Plaza, very green and nice colonial buildings, and went around the tourist shops to see if there was anything different here to buy, some nice soft alpaca wool clothing and colourful rugs, but you can get them anywhere!
Still haven´t found any decent Englich novels yet, want something to read other than my guidebooks!
I{m so tired though now, feel liking going to bed!
Anyway, tommorrow I´m off to visit Colca Canyon for 2 days and a night and then back here, hopefully see some condors!
Take care!
