Blog Fans!! Saturday morning, my favourite day of the week, even more so today as its the first saturday where we're not travelling thousands of miles! Just about to settle down with a nice cup of tea to update you on our last few days!
So, THE bus journey was probably the best bus journey of all time, proper lie down bed, dinner and breakfast, beer, wine and champagne spread over 19 hours, all for 50 pounds, unbelivable!
So we arrive in Buenos Aires and theres a refreshing chill in the air, very European architecturally and in its cafe culture, Jen is loving it!
Beautiful city, but the locals LOVE to demonstrate about things, seen two demonstrations already blocking the main 13 lane road running through the centre of town!
One beaut of a steak has been consumed, ridiculously good, but the culture of eating here is crazy, dont even think of heading to your table until at least 11, and even thats early, but i just cant wait any longer!
BA is a true party town, our first night on Thursday night kicked off with a party in our hostel with two for one cocktails, more litres of beer, they still look strangely when you ask for two litre bottles of beer, but i insist, yes, we MUST have two litre bottles please, and we also had a meeting with a Cougar lookalike! Honestly, this guy was Cougar, just with a big quiff, hilarious, he didnt really get my face pulling antics though....So then we WENT to a club at gone 2am, a club with dancing transvestites and didgy music, hated it, and then returned to our Millhouse hostel at 6am. safe to say yesterday was a quiet affair only ending at 2am, so we saved ourselves for tonight where we'll be heading to Pacha nightclub and another 6am finish! Today is set to be a little hotter so we'll be heading to the place where the rich people live to look at the clothes in shops which wont fit into our backpacks.
One more thing, Jen's language skills are incredible, Spanish, Portuguese, anything, me on the other hand, not a word, just point and nod, its all you need!
So two more nights in Buenos, then just a little pop over the river to Uraguay for a few nights to get the passport stamped and then back to BA for some more partying before heading down to Patagonia to see glaciers, mountains, whales, sealions and penguins!!
Till next time.......
