I have been following this hoping that nothing has went wrong...and when you both land back into the UK..ill be able to get a good night sleep. Have a safe trip home, and remember come in and see me to tell me all the stories. See you soon Kirstylouise
re: Kathmandu, NepalGeoff Enjoy your slobbing and spas! Have a good trip home. Did you get the message about the change of date for the next Heaps outing (will give you plenty of time to recover).
re: Kathmandu, NepalJean Nisbet Just back from a tour of Dharbhar Square UNESCO World Heritage site and the central market. Fabulous. We have enjoyed not being stared at: in rural Rajasthan in India, people are not used to seeing white faces, but Kathmandu people are much more relaxed. Tomorrow off to see Everest from the 4,300m viewpoint. Then a day 'at leisure' and back to Delhi and home to sort out the photos and try to remember where we took them! It's great people have been following our blog!

re: Kathmandu, NepalBetti hi guys, i'm really enjoying following you around the world with your blog: you're doing a good job of entertaining your audience! i haven't been to any of the places you've visited - except london, but i'm not counting that as too exotic. however, we did travel in egypt about 25 years ago, so i understand a little of the complete culture shock you'll be experiencing in india. people leading camels down traffic-filled cairo streets, unbelievable poverty in the countryside, and a very friendly and welcoming people. morocco is similar but less intense. how much time have you left of the great adventure? i hope you continue to have a fabulous time! betti :-)
re: Jaipur, IndiaJean Nisbet Sorry, Amy - didn't mean to post so quickly there! The holiday has been fabulous and we'd do it again but I would certainly encourage you all at Ochiltree to think of travelling when you are YOUNG. You need energy to do the 4am starts and the 16 hour days! Craig has the energy sometimes - me not so much!
re: Agra, IndiaJean Nisbet Hello, Ochiltree! And enjoy your holidays when they arrive! About Craig's suit - yes, he'll wear it when he visits - along with his handmade shirt! Peter - we haven't seen much of the Cmmonwealth Games BUT we travelled from Singapore to Delhi with the Aussie rugby team, shared our Delhi hoel with the CWG security detail - and got held up at the Taj Mahal this morning when the athletes attended a reception there - I do mean held up - by Indian army people with big guns..... Aiden - we're just back from having the most fabulous curry at the best restaurant in Jaipur, the Spice House(?). I had mutton bunha with pillau rice (with veg) and the best chapatis and nahn you've ever tasted! Craig had the same as me but with chicken bunha - and ate like a pig! Archie, Lyndsay, Chloe and Morven - our favourite place? I can only answer for me...and I;m going to wait till Kathmandu before I answer!
