I just wrote my whole experience down and then my blog didn't save so I guess I have to do it all over again. On Friday the 26th of October I arrived at the Visa office for the second time with our online Visa applications, passports, letter's from the Clinic and the Nobel hospital, copies of receipts of payment for the procedure. The Visa office is a 12X16 room with about 15 chairs and two wickets. I was early so I found a chair and proceeded to remove my outer clothing as it was hot and it didn't help that I was nervous and having a hot flash to boot. My name was finally called a half an hour later so I supplied the lady with all my paperwork. The first thing she found was that my middle name was not on the application and that I would have to go home and re-do my application online. I pleaded that we redo the application here as I live in Onoway and have taken a day off work to come here. She conceded but told me I would have to wait, also Jason didn't sign below his photo and I offer to sign for him but she decided to leave it blank. She also told me again that I needed to provide three months of bank statements. I showed her the receipt for payment of the procedure, which included all food and accomodation, she decided that this would work. Ahhrrgg! So then I sat down again until the application was ready that she redid on the computer. So approximately an hour later I was called up to sign the application and pay for the Visa's. The Visa's cost 168.00 ea. The part that made me nervous was that our passports needed to be sent in with the Visa applications. So in two weeks or so we should receive our Visa's and passports via courier if the Consult doesn't have any further requests. Yikes, that's cutting it close! At least that's done! At the end the lady made our Visa's for 6 months, multiple visits, just in case so we don't have to go through this again.
