Today was a more relaxed day, well sort of. After a little sleep in (7am!) We took the opportunity to get some washing done before heading to our extreme quad bike adventure!! After my initial fears were overcome, and being given a fully automatic bike, I was up and down the dunes like a pro. Jarrod of course was miles ahead of me, looking like a kid in a lolly shop, a smile from ear to ear on a faster, manual bike. All 6 of us travelled in convoy up and done the dunes, along the face of some and over the top of others. We had two hours of this madness and afterwards headed back to the start covered in sand. So much fun! The rest of the afternoon was spent wandering around the town, along the beach and preparing for the next few days. We are looking forward to get out of the desert and into the more lush areas of Namibia where we will hope to tick off a few more animals from our list.
