I liked your photo of Galapagos/Easter Island I'm glad you told me where it was as I thought it might be Seven Oaks in Kent on a good day in summer.You are obviously still enjoying your self despite the odd drama but we are all looking out the window at torrential rain and high winds and thinking how lucky you are.

Thanks for all the messages. I´m just about to update my travel blog. Now in Galapagos and sail to Isle Isabella this afternoon to look after tortoises for a month. I understand that internet on Isabella is very slow so may not be doing much updating but will see how it goes. Take care and thanks for keeping in touch.

Eileen & I are following your exploits with inerest.Golfwise you are missing nothing here at the moment. I played yesterday,and the whole of the 14th was played in driving hailstones,not good. But, I have created a new course record. My umbarella took off by the ditch on the 14th, and was caught just before the 12th green. Will never be beaten?

Glad you got your hair sorted eventually. The temperature on the way to work this morning was -7C between Marston Magna and Mudford with a mild -3.5C in Yeovil. But a wonderful sunrise and another sunny clear blue sky day promised. Bet even that doesn't make you regret leaving for your world adventure! The contact vehicle is now based most of the time at Frome so when you arrive back go there first!!! Can't continue with this idle chatter as I have some really important and interesting work to do. Keep well and remember - Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana.
