Today we arrived in Levanto to start a new adventure three days exploring the Mediterranean coast villages of Cinque Terres. It took us 6 hours train ride with a change in Milano and it was worth it. Our room has a view of the sea and a little castle no less.
But first , Venice. What can I say? It is the most unique and beautiful place I have ever been to. Our pensione Hesperia run by two sisters Martina and Carolina was second to none. Friendly homely and breakfast included . They suggested how best to see their city in three days and were pleased we had allowed the time to do it. I will let the photos speak for themselves but to walk around and soak up the sights at night just following our noses was a great way to begin. Then we relaxed in the morning . Cover photo shows me a john Grishim novel Martina loaned me to enjoy while she made me a coffee. The geraniums in our own little street gave an ambience of really being on holiday. I haven't had wifi for a few days so will post this blog and write more about Venice later. Ciao!!!
