Another rainy day! We had a sleep in and a late breakfast at the hotel. We travelled to the Science Museum in the morning. There was a lot to see. It's nice not to have the pressure of spending a large sum on tickets for all of us only to have the kids start to fade after a short time. We just took in a couple of areas over 2 hours and then went on our way. We ate at The Hoop & Toy in S. Kensington. Esme felt she was at her limit for museums and sightseeing...

Today we got up early and headed by Tube to the Tower of London. We managed to join a Yeoman Warder tour before it got extremely busy. Our Beefeater was Mark. He was very entertaining and many gory stories were told. He seemed to want the scare the kids in the crowd by bringing up stories of children with similar ages. We visited the chapel where many of the bodies of the executed nobles were laid to rest after being found underneath the church - including Lady J...

We made the first cruise from Westminster Pier along the Thames. Another drizzly morning that did turn into rain. We did see a bit of sun and humidity. We took the boat back to Westminster Pier after reaching the Tower of London. We walked up Whitechapel passing 10 Downing Street (with an angry protest going on) and stopped at Horse Guards Parade the snaps few shots. We carried on from Trafalgar Sq to Covent Garden and had lunch in the hidden away Neal's Yard....

Saw a lot of London today as we did a hop on, hop off Big Bus Tour. The kids really enjoyed it and we covered most of the major landmarks. The Red route we chose was 2.5 hrs. We had lunch at St. Paul's Cathedral and ended the drizzly day with a visit to the Victoria & Albert Museum. Spencer and I took in the exhibit of Modern British Design. We saw the Concorde (a model), stage clothes for David Bowie and Roxy Music as well as designs for many modern day item...

We got up early again (sorry kids), had breakfast at the hotel and hopped on the Tube to St. James' Park. We had tickets for the tour of the State Room and Diamond exhibit at Buckingham Palace. We pass through security and attached our audio guides. The tour was fantastic. We entered through the ambassador's entrance and ascended the Grand Staircase. Such opulence and incredible history of the kings and queens who left their mark on the palace. Sadly, we couldn't...
