Nella's spanish and european aventures
so what we've experienced lately:
we saw a man get thrown from his motor bike and quickly found out he was fine when he threw his shoe at the man who hit him...ps it was the bikers fault.
we've encountered a ben and jerry's which was exciting because they have coffee drinks like frapaccinos, but that turned out to be a bust when we tried them and were discusted, things just aren't the same here.
we have found a mall in el puerto which is smaller than the one in lynchburg... for those of you from cali, that means it's itty bitty!
and we've been to cadiz. cadiz is amazing, we've only had a chance to check out the¨"historical half" of it, supposedly it is very modern on the other half and they have what they call a corte de ingles... "english court" which means a real mall and so we are going there this weekend, the trip to cadiz is only a 30 min train ride and the train there and back that costs like 3.5 euros or something so we definintely have big plans for this weekend.
as for school, we are currently doing a quick review of the "elemental" level and so had our first test today that was like 3 hrs. long! supposedly there's a new girl coming in 3 weeks who's college level and wants to brush up on it, which means (because we are the highest level class) that we have about 3 weeks to see if we can be at her level when she arrives... there's a challenge for ya!
we are having lots of fun in class though when we do a lot of grammar it gets frustrating because its a lot of work, so our teacher susi is so cool she balances it with conversación so that we can just sit and speak about whatever she asks about our lives or answer whatever questions we have that day or week about life in españa... so long as we speak in spanish, the whole time, she is pleasantly correcting each mistake we make it is so so so fun! i love it!!
k well i've got to go, i'm quite hungry b-c Ãt's lunch time!!!
so hasta luego amigos
