8. It is possible to text while walking down the street in traditional Mayan clothing with a large bundle on your head.

9. Moment that made me smile: host father, Pedro Rafael, singing along to a Guatemalan music video.

10. Moment that made my stomach turn: a truck full of half dead chickens with thier heads hanging from the crates. And again when we had chicken the next day for lunch.

11. I love: when little girls join me for a few blocks walking down the street
