I decided the best way to get to know a place would be to get properly lost in it ...which is what I set out to do yesterday but found it impossible. The 4 directions in San Pedro are uphill, downhill, toward San Pedro Volcano and toward Nariz del Indio (the indian nose)... much easier than N, S, E, W. I did find some places I liked, though, and the uphill market was very lively.

Later, I met up with Jamie and Dave for dinner which turned into many drinks and a drunken night. Crazy people and conversation all night. Excellent after bar tacos and only 10Q ($1.30ish) for 3!

I surprisingly woke up rather early and feeling great. I went to yoga with Martine then we had coffee by the lake. I bid Dave and the Karp Dog farewell and was off to my first Spanish lesson. Its like Im in 1st grade without recess or art. But, I am eager to climb this steep learning curve quickly and plan to spend the majority of my coming days studying and practicing.
