Ufff! Finallly I have some time and energy to fill you guys in about my travels here en my first 2 days in Pattaya!
So after spending the night in Amsterdam I took the free shuttle to the airport of Schiphol. From there I flew with Malaysia Airlines to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, which was an 11 hour flight... This was a bit disapointing because I had in mind it was 'only' gonna take 8 hours, but off course I didn't count the hours of the timedifference... On this flight I only slept for 4 hours although I took a sleeping pill, aparently I was to excited to be able to sleep! After this long flight I had to wait 5 hours in KUL for my next flight to Bangkok :( But I was lucky and there was free wifi in the airport so I could keep myself busy! In was minding my own business when suddenly a big family of Indonesian people come and sit around me, start offering me cake and candy... This is weird I thought... But then, they started taking pictures of me so I started laughing and one by one thay came sit next to me to take a picture with me. The grandmother asked me if I was married (say what?!) and looked at her grandson in a very happy way... I realised i had to get out of there asap! Weird people those Indonesians, but friendly is the least I could say!
Finally after a 2 hours flight I arrived in Bangkok, where I had to wait AGAIN for the bus to Pattaya... But all the waiting was worth it! I arrived in Pattaya at the Big C centre and there I saw my father! We drove by scooter to his place, with the suitcase of 25kg! Uff, we made it! Soon I noticed that it's normal to drive with several people on 1 scooter and without a helmet(!) even though they drive like animals here! Not that much later I was doing it myself!! My dad, me, his gf and her daughter on 1 little scooter! Fun it was!
My father lives in a pretty primitive house, but that's the way they live here... Almost outside and no hot water! Brrr... Luckily it's 30degrees out here ao I can live with it! In the evening we went for a drink in this dutch bar, really friendly people in the end! :) the 2 best local beers are Chang and Leo, but I prefer Leo. Oh, and 1 good advice: don't drink the wine here, very bad and as I already say this, you should believe me!
The second day, suprisingly Iwoke up very early! So excited to start my day! (And also too hot to sleep). We went down to the city centre with the tuk tuk and walked around in different markets, all very Thai and very cheap!!! In the afternoon we went to the schooldance of the youngest child... Free food and drinks and a lot of thai speaking and loud music! Unfortunately no alcohol was served... Well in the end it's a childrens school dance, so I was happy with free food :) The little one, Jelly, performed and was such a cutiepie (off course she was, because I had done her make up)! But soon we had enough of all those dances on thai music and a lot of talking that we don't understand, so went walking down to Walking Street and the markets around! Luckily we drove back on the scooter cause my feet were hurting!
As you will notice, we walked a lot today and so I'm pretty tired :) Tomorrow I'm gonna sleep long and see what's next on our programme!
Goodnight dear followers!!! ZZzz...
