Goodmorning y'all!
Our second day at Koh Yao Yai was pretty amazing! We arrived at Esmeralda View Resort at the east coast of the island and it was all nature! We were surrounded by hundreds of trees, had a beautiful sea view and stayed in one of the nicest bungalows we've been too. Pond, the owner, was so friendly and helpful! I would recommend this place to everyone who wants some peace, quiet and nature! Because there wasn't really a beach, we decided to go kayaking at the ocean, which was free for guests of te resort. We went to another coast and saw some resorts with swimming pools. So we went on land and acted as guests of those 5 star resorts and went swimming for a while :) Like that we enjoyed some sun as well! When we returned to the resort we chilled out, staring at te sea view. The next morning I woke up very early to see the amazing sunrise! Pretty impressing, you will see on the pictures!
Our stay at Koh Yao Yai was total relaxation! And now we were ready to start some travelling again!
We decided to go to Kanchanaburi, which is about 2 hours west from Bangkok. Because of the violent situation in Bangkok, we'd rather avoid the capital. So from Kao Yao we took te longtailboat to Phuket, from where we took the VIP nightbus to Bangkok. There we had a direct connection to Kanchanaburi.
Here we stayed in Bamboo House, a bit further from the town but very nearby the River Kwai Bridge. We visited the famous bridge and walked through the city centre on our 1st day there.
The second day we want to Erawan Waterfalls, a beautiful piece of art by nature! We walked up all 7 levels and went swimming in the waterfalls. An amazing experience and a recommendation for all of you.
So the days for me and Sophie together are over! Unfortunately she needs to go back to Spain :( I'll miss you, it was an amazing time, as always!
But my travels aren't finished yet :) With some other friends I'll go back down south to visit some ofthe remaining islands we didn't do yet! So no worries, this blog hasn't finished yet :D
Today I'll take the minivan to Ratchaburi, to take the nighttrain to Surat Thani from where I'll take a bus to Phuket! No further plans yet!
Got to go since the van will pick me up soon!
