From Surf Camp, we took our last Oz bus down to Sydney. Upon arrival, we checked into a hostel called Wake Up!, which my friend from school, Ant, was staying in. Anna went to meet up with some guys that we'd met earlier in our travels, and I went to find Ant in Sydney somewhere. Got hopelessly lost trying to find the bar he was in... Sydney's hard to work out in the dark - Had a few beers... won a few off these dunk Aussies at pool! Me and Ant made an unbeatable team!

In the morning we got to the depot in Sydney to pick up our van - we were given a van called 's***Z' - taking the mick out of the rental company Britz, it has s***Z written on the sides in huge letters, and a lizard doing a s***z aswell! We loved it, and before we knew it we were on the road... would you trust two silly boys from England with a van... I DONT THINK SO!... dont know why they did?!?!

Drove back into Sydney to pick up our stuff from the hostel and then we went north of Sydney to do a bit of surfing. Arrived at Manly and checked out the town. Cooked our first meal in the van... on the beach! Was awesome just rocking up on the beach and sleeping where ever we liked!!! The next day in Manly we bought some surfboards - they're awesome. Mine is called Electra and Ant's is called Tiffany! Spent the next few days just sleeping and surfing North of Sydney, so not much to report on that. After a few days we decicded The Road Trip of Epic Proportions better get a move on or else we wouldn't make it further than Sydney so we set off to Melbourne!!!

Arrived in Melbourne and set up camp by the river. Camping in City's is quite a good laugh - we coined the term 'Urban Camping'. Met up with Martha and Miles who had travelled earlier on with in Oz. Had our first diner party in the van. Good fun, finished off all our goon and food. Next day we headed off to Torquay - the surf capital of Australia!!!
