So, we aim to sightsee today and go for a walk to Tyron Park - it's a bit wet but the park is pretty and at the top we discover a bus service to the city centre so we decide to jump on.
We get off at Penn Street and take the green line number 6 to Spring Street. We walk 200 ft. finding "the magic shop" where the Foo Fighters recorded their last song for Sonic Highways, it's pretty well hidden and we can only get a snap of a paper tag name on a doorbell.
We walk on to check out Little Italy looking for authentic pizza - we pass the NYPD base, it's a stunning building similar in architectural style to the library. We head to the main strip, it's bustling with tourists and the smell of Italian cuisine is making our mouths water! We stop at a restaurant that claims to have the best brick oven in Little Italy and indoors it's like a scene from Midsummer Nights Dream, all woodland like with white lights wrapped around leaves - it's class and the menu is really reasonable. Matts gets pizza, Jacq carbonara, the whole thing is lush but Jacq has had a killer headache for a while now and it's getting worse she's finding it hard to raise her head, so we have to abort our trip after food and head home early, sadly it develops into a migraine so it's bedtime for her… bedtime with no curtains.
