After our big night out yesterday, we were going to move on to Koh Tao via a little ferry trip north. The boat ride was unpleasant to say the least, stiflingly hot... Cram packed full to the brim and rather wavey, which on a delicate stomach wasn't nice but we made it and headed straight for tanote bay. 200 baht later and we are there, but the bungalow is full and all the surrounding ones are full too... Uh oh.. We regroup, decide our next move.. We head back to the centre of town and find a room for 400.. Including the 4x4 rides down some questionable roads our room total came to 800 baht. It wasn't a bad room, but not really what we wanted for our beach holiday.. We gathered a list of bungalow numbers to call the next morning before we go there to avoid disappointment and wasting money.. The first few were expensive and busy, then we found where I am lying now.. Moondance bungalows. Perfection! Our little hut made from various natural materials and even with a tree in the wall was just what we wanted, literally on the beach and 10 metres from the sea...
