Started the day on a Crisis call back to NZ team after Wellington hit by a series of Earthquakes. By midday when it was clear all was under control and the next meetings would be in 8 hours we headed out to enjoy our last afternoon in Ormskirk with Uncle Ray. We explored a National Trust building that is close by. The original home of the Hesketh family. It wa stheir family home for over 500 years. William Shakespeare was tutor to their children before he became famous.
It has great carved timber furniture, armour and tapestries.
We enjoyed exploring the gardens that were in full bloom. It is near the Liverpool Canal and we saw several long boats go by.
We headed off for a pub lunch at Croston at a pub called The Black Horse Pub. Whilst we were enjoying a local ale the cricket was on with the Aussies being battered. We tried to keep our voices low and accents hidden....
