Twisty and tiring day today: mountain roads with loads of twists and holes everywhere... the scenery though? absolutely amazing. We crossed into the county of Maramures, with great customs and traditions, great scenery, and ofcourse great food. We stopped first for cake around 12, and I had some baked cheese pancakes, it's been a while since I had those... Got back on the bike and took aother break around 3: we stopped at a pension on top of the mountain ran by an old lady who gave us a great vegetable soup, Doug never had soup with a fresh chilly as a garnish was quite good seeing him enjoing it. Great lunch,great views over the valley and we're off to Viseu de Sus. Got a beer and I had some dinner, off to bed early though: we're taking the log train in the Vaser Valley tomorrow.

Drumuri lungi si intortocheate azi. Peisajul totusi? minunat. Am ajuns in judetul Maramures, cu multe obiceiuri si traditii frumoase si bineinteles mancare nemaipomenita. Ne-am oprit intai pe la 12 pentru ceva dulce si eu am mancat niste clatite cu branza dulce de vaca la cuptor... A trecut ceva vreeme de cand am mancat clatte cu branza ultima oara... Am luat-o iar la drum si ne-am oprit pe la 3 sa mancam ceva, si am ajuns la o pensiune intr-un varf de munte, unde o batranica ne-a oferit o ciorba de legume si zarzavaturi. Lui Doug i s-a parut ciudata combinatia de supa de legume cu ardei iute proaspat la inceput, dar i-a placut enorm. Dupa pranz ne-am suit iar pe motocicleta si am luat-o inspre Viseu de Sus. Am ajuns la hotel pe la 6, am mancat ceva, si dupa o bere ne-am dus la culcare, maine ne trezim devreme sa mergem la Mocanita de pe Valea Vaserului - ultima cale ferata forestiera din Europa.
