Hello everyone,

This is a blog about Yooly's first long trip on the back of the motorbike. I say "long" because it will last longer than my average weekend trip to Wales, Yorkshire or down to Cornwall. Yes, for all you out there who don't know I have been on the back of the motorbike before - (with "ze count"), just not on such a long trip - a whole 4 weeks. The idea is to leave London on the 27th of June with about 10-11 other bikes on our way to Mugello - Italy through France and Switzerland. From Italy, 5 or 6 of us will be heading to Slovenia and Hungary, towards Romania (for a loop around the Carpathians) and then back through Hungary, Austria, Germany, France again, and then back home to the UK.

It all started as a 2 week trip to Italy and back, but it expanded to about 4, because some guys in the group wanted a reason to go and visit Romania - my native country. The reason for it? Romania is a beautiful country - with loads of twisty roads, wonderful scenery and a rich history.

This being the introduction, I hope you enjoy the reading of the blog (if and when I'll have time to update). Please note, that I won't have a computer with me, but will have to either pinch the boss's, either try and update everything with the kindle.

Acesta este jurnalul Iuliei despre prima calatorie lunga ca pasager pe spatele unei motociclete. Am scris "calatorie lunga" pentru ca va dura mai mult decat o simpla excursie de weekend in Wales, Yorkshire, sau Cornwall. Da! Pentru toti voi cei care nu stiti, sunt un pasager current pe spatele motocicletei ("Contelui Dracula"), dar niciodata intr-o excursie atat de lunga - 4 saptamani. Ideea e sa plecam 10 - 11 din Londra pe data de 27 Iunie inspre Mugello - Italia, prin Franta si Elvetia. Din Italia, 5 sau 6 din noi, o luam spre Slovenia si Ungaria catre Romania (pentru un tur in jurul Carpatilor) si apoi inapoi prin Ungaria, Austria, Germania, Franta si inapoi acasa in Anglia.

Totul a inceput cu o excursie de 2 saptamani din Anglia in Italia, dar s-a lungit pana la 4 saptamani, pentru ca unii din "excursionisti" s-au decis ca vor un motiv sa mearga in Romania, tara mea natala. Motivul? Romania este o tara frumoasa, cu multe drumuri intortocheate, relief minunat si o istorie foarte bogata.

Aceasta fiind introducerea, sper sa va placa ce cititi (daca si cand voi avea timp sa updatez intrarile pe blog). Va rog sa luati aminte la faptul ca nu voi avea un calculator cu mine, dar imi voi da silinta sa-l "imprumut" pe al sefului sau sa updatez site-ul cu cartea electronica.
