Philip Islandwe finally started to head towards the east coast - We went to Phillip Island, where we saw the penguin parade but on the way we stopped at a wildlife park (if you can call it that). you pay in and then walk around huts that are suppose to have animals in them but instead have old sign boards in them that they have discarded... then you stumble across the biggest birds on this planet flabbing around freely so they can take your eye out. paula is petrified of them... it think she drew blood from my arm holding it so tight as we tried to get past them. Finally got to the kangaroos (who said they are nice creatures - sorry dad), they too were free to come and kill you if you liked and there was not one single staff member around to help... by god those things bounce!!! But the best part (sarcasm) is the giant worm. This was a like stepping back in time.. it was some wall display from the 50's if even then that was fallin apart describing some large worm!! the highlight of the trip.. It was the biggest scam ever.PenguinsNow this was amazing, you go to the island and sit down on the beach and when it gets dark the tiniest smallest penguin’s u could ever imagine seeing come out of the sea to go home after a day of fishing. one comes out first to see if the coast is clear and then goes back into the sea to tell the others and slowly they form small groups and waddle along the beach and up the banks to their homes. you follow them the whole way up the banks. They are so cute!! Its something that you cant simply describe.. its fascinating. It was so funny though that nite, we parked somewhere i don’t know as it was so dark, but keith saw another car in the car park and freaked out all nite so eventually in the middle of nite he decided to move up towards the man road.. found out the next morning we moved to some council building.. just as well we moved before they came to work or we would have been fined alot... but u would think it would be us 3 girls who were scared but no it was the boy.
