hey, finally in sydney now!!! about time tooo. it just took us weeks to get here.. well done the usual things. Went to see the harbour bridge and sydney opera house. its not so white.. when you actually see it in person its cream coloured. it can look whitish when the sun shines on it, but the pictures we all see are totally dislussional. but impressive all the same. we were going to climb the harbour bridge but its expensive and we left trainers in c.van. The harbour is great though. we went on a jet boat which takes you out into the harbour and is like a roller coaster in water.. we got totally drenched. but it was a great laugh.. paula looked like she had wet herself..

sydney itself is lovely.. lots of big buildings . a mixture between new york and singapore. its the same grid layout as new york and cleaniness of singapore. we staying in base hostel right in the middle ofit all.

We had to leave the campervan back with the hire company for the week as there is no where to park it here.

we nearly had no where to sleep easter weekend. we had booked our hostel for the weekend but when we arrived we only paid for the first 4 nites as we werent sure if we would stay 7 or 8 nites but they told us that would be ok and the booking would remain for 8 nites!!! but surprise surprise when we went to pay for the extra nites.. our booking was no longer and as you can imagine it being easter weekend there is absolutely no accomodation in the city at all not even big hotels. but to cut a long story short we waited til the night staff came in (james) battered some eyelids and we got a room. dont know what he done to get us the bed as it was a bit dodgy but hey i got somewhere to sleep!!!.

im not feeling well though!! got sore throat and got the cold!!

Everything shuts down here for easter even more so than back home!! its a nitemare there is nothing at all to do.. even the bars are closed but i suppose it gives me an excuse to rest and try and get over the illness.. we leave sydney on monday for more campervan adventures..

not managed to get to bondi beach yet as weather not the best but will probably go next week ourselves when we get the campervan back.
