I don't know what I have put about new Zealand, if anything at all, but I arrived in New Zealand on my own into Auckland at 3am and couldn't get into my room until 1pm, so I messed around on the internet and went to bed, that's about it. The next day some of my friends from my South America trip were joining me, I was so excited to see them. We went to the harbour, went up the sky tower, went food shopping and messed around a bit. I left them on the 14th to join my kiwi experience bus and that night got on well with a few girls and guys. one girl called Chloe, who has a really funny laugh that makes me laugh when I think of it and some brothers called Greg and Alex from Bolton.
I got on really well with the people on my bus, there was an age range from about 17 to 28. We went Rotorua, which smells of bad eggs, it's the sulpher that makes hot springs. We all went on a gondola and luge riding, which is like a go kart, but easier to control and you go downhill, it's good fun.. We went to a Mauri concert and museum, which was interesting, my pictures weren't very good because some of the show was in the dark with a few lights, so the pics didn't turn out.
One night in Taupo, it was girl night, so all the guys dressed up as girls. They wore dresses and skirts and tops with make-up, was really good night. I saw some people from my South America trip too, which was cool.
Stayed in River valley for one night and we shared massive bunk beds, it was 4 mattresses to one bunk. We played the game 'Ring of Fire', which is a drinking game. Went from Wellington where I got very drunk, but it was our last night with everyone from our Northern bus trip together. Went from Wellington to Christchurch. I had to make my own way there to be able to meet Michelle. She arrived the next day and I was so happy to see her, although she was really jetlagged so wasn't very talkative.
It was then the Sabbath and we went to the synagogue and had a Friday night dinner and lunch on the Saturday. We left Christchurch on the Sunday and joined another kiwi bus and made our way to Kaikoura, we saw some seals and stayed ina hostel where there was nothing to do so we watched films all day.
We then went to Nelson and we were meant to do a sky dive, but it got cancelled because of the weather, so we stayed in Nelson for 2 nights. We then had to leave on a minibus, instead of a coach and went to a national lake to take pictures and went horse riding. It was Michelle's first time, it was my second and I found it easier to do this time and the galloping was more fun. We arrived in Westport that night, but Kiwi Experience had messed up the date we were meant to be leaving one place and so they paid for an extra night for us to stay in Westport, then transport to Franz Joseph and also one nights accommodation in Franz Joseph. We met up with lots of people there and spent 2 more nights there after.
Michelle and I went glacier walking and that was amazing, but we both got blisters on our heels and very sore legs the next day. I personally didn't think that our guide was very good, but it was cool watching her cut up the ice to make the pathways easier for us to walk on.
Went to puzzling world the next day, but I was very hungover that day so I didn't make the most of it. Michelle and I did our skydive the next day, which was really good. I was still feeling a bit hungover, but it was worth it.
We are now in Queenstown and we went to a bar last night where you can drink cocktails out of a teapot or pour them into shots and drink it like that. Today we went miniature golf, which was really cool.
That's all the news for now, a lot has happened in New Zealand so far, I have about 2 weeks left before I go to Australia. Having a really good time, Michelle leaves in a week and a bit, which will be a bit sad, going skiing soon and probably snow boarding too.
Hope to hear from everyone, please send me messages, I love feeling popular.
Love me xx
