Day 12
Discover Egypt
I wake up about 6am and watch the sun rise over the mountains of Saudi Arabia. The sun light catches the red sea and the sky is amazing mixture of reds and pinks. I sit and have my first cigarette of the day. Grant walks past and says he is going to get a coffee so I join him. We sit and drink our coffee and have a cigarette and in a little while Jen joins us and has a tea. We all head back to our huts and I go for a shower. It's then back to the main area for a lazy day just chilling, chatting playing cards and of coarse drinking beer. Jen and the kids go snorkelling on the reef but I decide to stay and just relax. We decide that we will try a special local dish for dinner that night and it has to be ordered 6 hours before and a minimum of 4 people so most of us opt for this and arrange it for 19:00 so Tam can join us after sunset when Ramadan finishes. Dinner is severed an to be honest we are all a little disappointed with the meal. It seems to be a load of rice put into a mould with meat in the centre. Nothing special and the meat is a little tough. We finish our dinner and all retire to the beach and sit on the shore and talk about conspiracy theory's about giant mummy's and the moon landing etc. We sit with our beer in deep conversation and Grant insisted that we finish off the bottle of Gentleman's Jack. We sit up till about 1am and say our goodbyes as they are leaving at 6am in the morning. It's sad having to say goodbye to them as they have been such good traveling companions.
