Hiya all,
Left Cuzco a couple of days ago and headed down to Arequipa, which is surrounded by the Andes and ´guarded` by 8 volcanoes, was a very nice place we went to the Colca Canyon (2nd deepest in the world - all at once now, wow), some more great scenery, and we saw some Condors (big ass birds).
Then we headed up to Puno which is where I am currently and we went for a tour around Lake Titicaca (highest navigatable lake in the world - wow) where there are people who live on floating islands history says they moved there to avoid the spanish conquest - me I think they just there for tourists. Lake is lovely the islands not so just loads of people trying to sell you stuff and they all got solar panels powering tv`s, radios and all sorts of electrical gadgets imported from Japan...
We are leaving in a few minutes to cross the border to Boilivia, I heard from some other peeps we met that there is some political grief going on there at the moment and last week all borders were closed - should be a fun week. Oh well time to rebel and start a revolution maybe..
ok gotta go now will keep ya`s posted.
Inabit
