OK so the last 2 days in Buenos Aires were definitely amongst the best in South America.
On saturday 17/03/07 we went to Andres families weekend residence at a country club near the airport about 40 minute drive outside of Buenos Aires which is beautiful. Lovely villas set in private grounds with a golf course, gym, tennis courts, 3 full size footie pitches, hockey pitches, tennis and footie coaches indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Great facilities,l ike a proper mini village with teachers and all sorts to look after the kids...this is the life.
So after a fab day we go and celebrate st paddies day at Kilkennies (biggest irish pub in Buenos Aires) and it's just as mad here as it is anywhere else in the world although there are alot of aussies and yanks about...in fact everything but Irish!!!
On Sunday 18/03/07 lunch and bye byes with Katie and David then onto the Boca Juniors vs Gimnastic at Boca's ground with Paula's family... Now this is the best atmosphere at any ground with Diego Maradona in the stand opposite jumping around like a nutter in fact 50,000 fans all chanting and jumping like nutters including young and old and both male and female!!!! If Carlsberg did atmospheres this would be it!!
And all was good with the match ending with a 5-1 Boca victory after going 4 up in the first 20 minutes...
On Monday 19/03/07 we finally said goodbye for the last time on this trip to Argentina after 3 entry stamps in 1 month!!! Today we fly to see some friends in Lima for 2 days before going onto our final stop - Santiago, Chile.
