Today got off to a slow start. We got up and waited around the apartment for our temp landlord to show up, then came the adventure.
Our landlord pointed us in the direction of a supermarket but judging by how quickly we get lost it was never going to be that straightforward.
After several minutes of debating where we should turn we stumbled upon a supermarket and the began our attempt at tackling the foreign shopping task.
With our first shop successful and gaining a free pepper, we headed back to do some lunch before heading back out towards the metro and heading towards central Rome.
As soon as we exited at spagna we were amazed to find the Spanish steps before us!!
We then walked around, finally trying gelato which is just amazing!
After that we managed to find our way to the capuchin catacombs which were stunning if not a tiny bit eerie seeing as the crypts we all made of bones including the chandeliers hanging directly above our heads!
Finishing up here we went to the trevi fountain which was surreal and extremely busy!
I was also amazed how many English and American tourists there are around! Ha!
After hanging around the trevi we went in search of the pantheon and without any hitches we found it!
It was beautiful and it was nice to just relax on the pews for a bit.
Soon we headed back to the steps, picking up a gelato and then finally having our Audrey Hepburn moment by having fresh gelato on the Spanish steps!!! Bliss!!
Eventually we headed back to the apartment but not before stopping at the supermarket again to get some more things for lunch tommorow.
It was here I was amazed by the fact you could buy 2 litres of wine for 1.99!!!!!!

I have decided I WILL buy a bottle this week!
As soon as we got back I had a shower before we cooked some pasta for for dinner and then eventually went to bed. Tommorow we are heading to the coliseum, the roman forums, Paletine hill and circus maximo!!!! Excited!
