Landed in Cuzco at about 8:10am (GMT-5 here)
Nice flight, Cuzco lovely to look at from the sky, cant believe how high the airport is. Didn't have to wait for my bag as it's in Miami still!
Jeremy from the orphanage met me at the airport and took me on a little tour of the city before going to the orphanage, briefly met the children who are all so gorgeous and then went up to the volunteer apartment, none of the other volunteers were there at the time, haven't slept for 36hrs so hit the sack!
When I woke up met the other volunteers who are nice and then went to the market with them, saw the local delicacy if guinea pig for sale....they keep the heads on them to prove they are not rats?! Don't look that appealing to be honest.
Bought some knickers and a top as don't have my baggage til Tomorrow. Went back to the orphanage and sat with the girls for a bit and then went into the town with the volunteers to have some dinner.
I had alpaca steak which I didn't really rate if I'm honest just tatses like really dry steak. There was a guy playing guitar and singing. He did quite a few beatles covers and was pretty good, so tired so off the bed at 9.30! Taking children go-carting tomorrow with two of the other volunteers, taking the boys in the morning and girls in the afternoon. Hope my case gets here tomorrow!
Over and out.
