Jacques Michals Sounds like the Napoleon sites were kind of a disappointment, indicative of the enigmatic ruler Napoleon was. Maybe it was a good thing those restaurants asked you to move on, had you stayed for a meal they may have food poisoned you with raw meat or undercooked vermin. Too bad I am not there to get you and Ron into more trouble..... Herb,when do you arrive back home on the 28th? I have no one to bike with and the weather is improving.

Elizabeth Sorry, Jim, never heard of "Haltenschnapps" ... not sure what you're referring to. I think plain old schnapps would do the trick! Sherry should have had some caipirinha like I recommended earlier.

Dave & Cathy Hi to all of you. Everyday we look forward to seeing new pictures and reading about your adventures. Sounds like you're having a great time. Dave is flying out to Abbotsford this morning and he will drive back mom and dad's '65 Olds convertible. I was going to go, but had some issues with the retina of my left eye, and after repair work yesterday was advised to take it easy for a couple of days. Enjoy the sunshine and the cruise. The forecast is for rain here all of this coming week. Take care. We miss you.

Jim Michals Interesting blog- that GPS must have been really confused- the map entry for today has you visiting the Island of Granada,in the Caribbean. Are you sure that you did not put a jet engine and wings on the Phaeton Ron purchased in Dresden and went a lot farther than you indicate in today's Blog entry?

Jim Michals 36 degrees-send some of that here....it is 5.8 degrees at 830am at the start of the Victoria day weekend. We talked of going camping to Sylvan Lake, but it is overcast and cool. I think you board the boat tomorrow- no time for a jaunt to Gibraltar. It sound like you and Rick Steeves are on a first name basis- it figures- he is one of those fine German Evangelistic Lutherans. menschs. He is ok for a guy from Seattle.
